CHEAP, VERY SHORT-NOTICE BARNEGAT JETTY IN-THE-FIELD INSTRUCTION
I will be photographing at the Barnegat Jetty on the afternoon of Monday, December 12 and the morning of Tuesday, December 13, 2011. That’s soon. I will likely be staying to photograph on the afternoon of Tuesday, December 13 and the morning of Wednesday, December 14, 2011. The weather looks great. At least a 500mm lens plus teleconverter is recommended. Dress warmly. Likely subjects include Harlequin Duck, Long-tailed Duck (formerly Oldsquaw), and shorebirds including Purple Sandpiper, Dunlin, and Ruddy Turnstone. Loons possible.
